POETRY
If that's what you want to call it!
Vasilios Gardiakos
Self Criticism
I am honest
but not a good poet.
My poems are too short
and do not rhyme!
Streams of Possibilities
Instead of writing star where did I wrote it here
My life and yours would be different I fear
Put the dot here. not over there
Perhaps I have created a nightmare
Clueless
I don’t know what to say.
The Unfinished Poem
And barely started
This Poem Contains Twelve Words
That is if you count the title.
A
Short Poem
Short!
I
Am Pissed!
Babies
are dying in Tsunamis
People are killing each other in wars.
And I am pissed that I can’t find a parking
space.
What a crazy existence!
This Poem for
Sale
Do I hear One dollar?
Do I hear two?
If you want it just holler
And I’ll sell it to you
(do not make an offer or bid
as this poem is not intended to
solicit
a response from you)
For those that want to buy one
of my poems other than this
one I will write one titled
This poem is really for sale
By the way I am accepting
contributions.

The
Reason (1977)
There's a reason for everything
And
the reason for immortality is
to
give us time to find the reason
You
Always Get your Way
No I
don't
Yes
you do
No I
don't
Yes
you do
No I
don't
Ok,
you don't
Yes I
do!
Wanted: Why
am I me and
not some one else? Someone wrote a wonderful poem that entertained this or a
similar concept.
If you find this poem, please email it to me.

Steve Homewood
responded to my request and sent me this poem 'Why Am I Me?'. It comes from the
1975
Broadway musical Shenandoah by
John
Cullumin. This is how it goes:
Tell you what I'm
thinkin'
Honestly and true...
How come I come to life as me
And not to life as you?
Lord I know the feeling
'Cause when I'm by myself
I wonder why
I'm who I am
And not somebody else
Way down underneath it all
Where no one gets to see
I bet it feels no different
Bein' you or bein' me
Why was I born
When was I born
Who I was born to be
Why was I given
The body I am livin' in
Why am I Gabriel?
Why am I Anderson?
Why am I me, why am I me...
I am not totally convinced this is the poem I was looking
for so if you find one like it send it to me. I should add that I am very happy
with it and thank Steve for sending it to me.
